Everything below is written for people who buy lighting in order to resell it, so the LED lighting trends we follow are the ones that change an order sheet rather than a spec sheet: which categories keep reordering, which formats demo well on a lit shelf, and where the retail price bands are moving.
Category trends and where the price bands are moving
Two shifts show up again and again in the quotes we write. First, decorative and mood formats — candle warmer lamps, sunset and galaxy projectors, LED neon — keep taking shelf space from single-function novelty items, because they sell themselves when they are switched on and they photograph well for a store’s own feed. Second, the middle price band is doing the work: entry-price gadget pricing invites returns, while a decor-grade build in glass, steel or solid wood holds a higher shelf price and reorders cleanly. In the briefs we see, the LED lighting market is consolidating around fewer, better-finished SKUs rather than longer assortments — which is exactly how a buyer should read the guides on this page.
Read a guide, then price it against your own assortment: request a wholesale quote and tell us which lines you are planning.
