Who owns the candle warmer trademark and the artwork on a private-label program?
You do. On a private-label run your candle warmer trademark, logo files, packaging artwork and any custom colorway developed for you stay yours: we print them on your units and your cartons, we do not register them, and we do not put your marks on a build for anyone else. Where you bring your own design in under OEM, the split is the one described above — you own the design, we own the execution.
Two practical notes. Registration in the market you sell into is your side of the table and worth confirming with your own counsel before development starts, because marketplace brand programs ask for a registration number rather than for artwork. And if you want the factory kept off your listings and cartons, say so at quote stage — neutral export cartons and unbranded units are a standard option, not a favour.
What does BeginLighting actually do for a private-label buyer that a trading company can’t?
A trading company forwards your brief, then forwards an answer back. We are the floor the brief lands on: two assembly lines in a 4,000 m² Foshan facility, around 40 people, and a powered-on test on every finished unit before it is signed off and boxed. Finish, glass, base material, logo placement, gift-box construction and plug type are therefore decided against a build we control, and a change you ask for is a change on our line rather than a message passed down a chain.
